Uncharted director Amy Hennig is starting a new studio - mannfoomescree

Amy Hennig, acclaimed author and director happening Uncharted, Soul Reaver, and Legacy of Kain, has announced that she is starting a new studio apartment in collaboration with Skydance Media (via GameSpot).

Skydance Media is known for films and television series like Annihilation, Exterminator: Dark Fate, and Grace and Frankie. (An aside: if you haven't seen Annihilation, you should give it a try, because it's laughably good.) Information technology has brought Hennig into the fold to direct its new game development judge, and she expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity. "If you look around, corresponding nigh every amusement company in Hollywood has some kinda interactive division, just they vary in terms of how serious they are about it, or how much they even infer it," Hennig explained in an interview with VentureBeat. "For ME with Skydance, it feels like a shared Desoxyribonucleic acid."

Hennig is coupled by Solon Beak, her former Centennial State-worker at Electronic Arts who has over 30 productions under his belt like LittleBigPlanet, Field of battle, and Law-breaking Scene Probe. Skydance CEO David Ralph Ellison called the two "constructive and illusionist leadership" in the loose interactive media sphere. Hennig and Beak will bring forward on a team of budding gamey developers in the Bay Orbit and at Skydance Media's main office in Santa Monica, California. The new studio's goal is to create games that appeal to all audiences with engaging and gripping stories in a menses where streaming seems to reign supreme.

"There's so much pressure to create these monolith games that are then big and more focused connected live services and open the world aspects. Which are bully, right?," she added. "But my sweet touch is authored narrative. And so, what I was looking at, every bit I was doing my tour of duty of diligence, was—everything I detected from my gamer friends—that we deficiency that message. That is what we are lacking, the merciful of shorter form, convergent, narrative synergistic content."
